Chapter 8:

"Raintalon? Are you sure your okay?" Silverpelt asked him as he entered the warriors den. "Yes Silverpelt,now go back to sleep." Raintalon gave an annoyed reply. "Well its not so easy to go back to sleep when there's tension everywhere we see you!" Silverpelt gave a snort of annoyment. "We? Who's We?" Silverpelt turned her head at the comment. "We, As in the warriors!" Silverpelt retorted. "Well you'd better cover your eyes with your tails then!" Raintalon bit back the comment. "Well, Silverpelt, at least you don't have patroling first thing before dawn!" Raintalon spit back hastily in a small hiss and curled up in his nest. "Seem's like the only cat who can get you to calm down in this camp is Briarleaf!" Silverpelt thought with an annoyed look.

Raintalon yawned and padded out of the den, it was almost dusk! "You've been asleep the whole day almost, Raintalon." Snowpaw, Silverpelts apprentice, commented as she saw Raintalon walk out of the den. "So.. Silverpelt's apprentice has gained her attitude huh.." Raintalon thought with a big sigh. "Sunfrost was worried that you might never wake up!" Snowpaw joked, and ran away before Raintalon got annoyed, or even worse, angry!

Chapter 7:

(Can you believe its chap. 7 already?!?!?!?!?!?!?)

Raintalon pulled himself up onto his paws looking around. It had been 1 moon since he became a warrior. He was supposed to get an apprentice soon, but they weren't sure yet, or so Briarleaf had said to him when she got back from gaining her full name as well. Reedstar was pacing in his den, they had heard that the clans around them would invade soon, but it was only a rumor.. A deadly rumor at that..
"Raintalon!" Raintalon's thoughts snapped as Briarleaf came rushing over to him. "What's up?" He simply said. "Can you help out with the herbs today? Please?" Briarleaf looked at him pleadingly. He sighed. "All righty then." He followed her to the bracken entrance. "Better not get to close them' Medicine cats Raintalon me' boy." Goldenspots was warning him as he passed by Raintalon, Raintalon looking confused just followed Briarleaf outside of camp. "Something happen?" She looked back at him as she stopped to pick up some Poppyseeds. "No, nothing. But I still don't see why you need my help with this." He started to gather some also. "It's lonely coming out here, and Reedstar insists in me taking you with me." Briarleaf shrugged. He sighed but didn't reply again. "Its been a long time Raintalon." A startled gasp came from Raintalon as he heard the words of a cat behind him, he turned around quickly, seeing no cat there. "Something wrong?" Briarleaf asked, turning around. "N-no..Just.. Nothing.." He muttered.

(I know its super short!! But I have something I wanna do in the NEXT chapter!)

Chapter 6:

Rainpaw woke with the fear feeling still ringing in his mind.. Eaglefang had been exiled a while ago. He had stayed in the Medicine cat's den that night. Mouseheart's fur was bristling in her sleep.. She was getting to old to mentor Briarpaw, but since Meadowheart had retired very early due to a falling tree crushing one of her front and one of her back paws, making her unable to walk, Mouseheart had to take over again until Briarpaw was fully ready to earn her name. When Rainpaw opened his other eye to look around the den, he noticed Mouseheart walking out of the den, Briarpaw opened her mouth with an excited look. Briarpaw nodded and went back inside and packed up some of the herbs, storing them back into the small cave behind the den where they kept the herbs. Before he could ask what was going on, Briarpaw had noticed him and exclaimed her exciting news. "I'm going to get my full name!" Briarpaw squealed with delight, but then with an embarrassed tone, turned her head to face the face of the cave. Rainpaw would totally laugh at the look, but just smiled, not feeling in the mood to laugh after his discovery of Eaglefang. "Congrats, but don't forget, you won't have any help after Mouseheart retires." Rainpaw simply said, a little amusement mixed in his voice. Briarpaw gave him a look, but mainly because she was still embarrassed. Mouseheart gave up trying to calm Briarpaw from being embarrassed, and walked out, leaving Briarpaw in the den with Rainpaw. "Your not going to visit anymore than?" Briarpaw's voice sounded disappointed, even though she tried to hide it. Rainpaw smiled amused at the question. "Guess not. But I can some times help you if you want, I have been raised in this den almost my whole life." Briarpaw's face was much happier when he said he'd help her if she wanted him to. "Is that a promise than?" She smirked. "I guess it is." Right as Rainpaw said that, Ravenheart burst in excitedly. "Rainpaw!! Reedstar says it's time to become a warrior!" Rainpaw jumped up at that comment. Briarpaw stared at Ravenheart, but turned to Rainpaw after. "I'll watch also, go on ahead." Briarpaw said, disappointed that their conversation was interrupted.


We'll just have ta stop right there now won't we?? lol

Chapter 5:

Rainpaw slowed down as he walked into the camp. No body was really up at all. A few cats were up.. But not many at all. Briarpaw came padding up to the fresh-kill pile, inspecting a mouse than bringing it to Mouseheart.. Willowsweet was leaning against the wall of the nursery.. Falling asleep. Rainpaw was about to head back into the apprentices den when Briarpaw went up to him. "Mouseheart needs you." She said, still with her sweet voice. As usual. "Can't she wait until sunhigh?" Rainpaw didn't even bother to respond that when Briarpaw stopped him until going farther, Her voice uneasy this time. "Mouseheart wants you now." She didn't even wait for him to reply, instead she just started to walk towards the medicine cat den...What had happened that would make her so uneasy? Rainpaw thought, and thought, until they were inside, Rainpaw knew exactly what was happening... Mouseheart looked up, her eyes filled with soft, yet, uneasy, feelings. "Its time soon..." She muttered. "It's time..." She started again.. "Time will unleash its fury.. Beware my son.. I don't think StarClan is willing to protect you if it means that the Dark forest will escape.." Mouseheart closed her eyes.. her voice was shaky..Not from tiredness.. But from fear for her son. "Make sure you will.." She coughed lowly. "Make sure you will protect the one's around you..Not just yourself.." Mouseheart's breathing went steady. She had fallen asleep. "Mouseheart is most concerned for your safety.. She's been worrying for a while now..She has fallen ill and cannot look over you to the next moon." Briarpaw said sadly, She knew it would be hard for anyone to accept their fate. "I know this.. But Reedstar will be most unhappy when she die's.. For me... It'll be the same but.." He looked over to the direction of the kitty-pet farms,and houses. Briarpaw cut off the thinking in his mind with the words she spoke next.. "Mouseheart says Eaglefang is not even close to dieing.. She fears that he is planning on raiding the camp on revenge." Rainpaw froze. He hadn't thought Eaglefang was alive... What should I do?! His mind was burning with fear..

Chapter 4:

Rainpaw woke up to see that it wasn't even dawn yet. He got up quietly, stretching outside the den. "I dream about it every half-moon.. I wonder why.." Rainpaw thought. It had been a few moons since Eaglefang had left Squirrelclan, pledging to kill Rainpaw once he was back.. The rest of the clans around our territory were told at the gathering about Eaglefang and not to welcome him at all. "Your up this early?" Rainpaw looked over to see Moonkit running over to him. It had been a while since the kit had joined the clan after being saved from Eaglefang's claws by Rainpaw. "You go back to bed." Rainpaw looked at Moonkit softly..He had become attached to the little kit ever since she had joined SquirrelClan. "I can't.. I've been dreaming about it tonight again.." Moonkit's pelt shivered, not because of the leaf-fall breeze.. but because of the chill she got after thinking about it. "Me to.." Rainpaw almost said but stopped in time not to say it. "That's no excuse to be out side the nursery, Moonkit." Moonkit sighed,she didn't even bother to protest..But sat there sighing. "C'mon." Rainpaw quietly said and grabbed Moonkit by the scruff, hauling her over to the nursery. He dropped her outside of the bracken entrance and went off. Moonkit just sighed and went inside. Rainpaw walked on and on, sneaking past the kitty-pet fence to an old, dreary, small house. It was mainly a farm, but they called it a house. "Stone!" Rainpaw called. Stone appeared at the front door of the house, half-asleep at that. Stone yawned. "Why'd you come down sooo early?" Stone complained. Blossom came up from behind Stone's tired voice, "Welcome back Rainpaw, what can we do for you?" Blossom was always very kind,but the only cat who could calm Stone down. "Nothing much today Blossom, Just figured I'd come say hi. Reedstar has been making me busy all this moon.. And it's gotten annoying." Stone looked at Rainpaw, one eye open. "Reedstar you say.. Hasn't that old tom gettin' ready to pass on already?" Stone joked. "I guess not Stone." Rainpaw wasn't in the mood for jokes.. But he guessed It'd be better than nothin'. "Rainpaw, how's my kit doing? You know, Moonkit?" Blossom asked, concerned about her kit. "She's fine Blossom. She's about to become an apprentice in about one more moon." Rainpaw assured her. "Blossom, She'll be fine. You know I grew up in there til I was an apprentice." Stone teased. "Hmph! Well excuse me for being a worried mother!" Blossom turned her head, with a small grin appearing on her face. "Well best be getting off now." Rainpaw looked at the sky. It was already dawn. Before they could say anything more he rushed off and out to his camp.

Chapter 3:

Rainpaw stood with the tiny kit on the ledge watching Reedstar.
"SquirrelClan," He began. "Eaglefang," He continued. "Eaglefang has attacked a kitty-pet kit.." Eaglefang's eyes rose with hatred. "I will consult with my senior warriors on behalf of Eaglefang's attacking." Reedstar called all of his senior warriors into his den, same one's as always.. Cloudstorm,Frostsky, Stormripple, and Skyheart. Reedstar and the elders came out very soon after, no one had moved an inch.. Not even Eaglefang. "There was some debate, but.." He paused, slowly muttering under his breath sadly, but continuing soon after. "Eaglefang shall be banished from SquirrelClan!" Reedstar's voice was pained, but at the same time proud... Rainpaw wondered why he was so proud when one of his clan mates just attacked a kit? Then it dawned on him.. Reedstar was proud at Rainpaw's actions.. Mouseheart took the kit into the nursery, having Blossomheart take care of the young kit... Eaglefang growled at Reedstars words. "I'll be back.. And once I am... You shall die..By my claws!" Eaglefang growled at Rainpaw as Eaglefang ran off. The clan stared at the entrance..Sadness..Cruelness...Anger...Curiousness... All the feelings.. and yet.. He couldn't understand what he was feeling..

Chapter 2:

Rainpaw yawned at a paw shaking him awake. "Rainpaw. Rainpaw!" Snowpaw shook him until he was fully awake. "Goldenfrost said to wake you and tell you to go with Eaglefang for training." Snowpaw jumped as Rainpaw, angry at the name Eaglefang, gave her a death look. "W-w-what?" Snowpaw couldn't look at Rainpaw's eyes with out flipping out like a sharp claw feeling was going down her spine. "She knows that I hate Eaglefang by know!" Rainpaw muttered under his breath as he got up. "R-rainpaw?" Snowpaw looked freaked out. "Fine.I'll go... Snowpaw, tell Mouseheart that I'll help her with herbs when I get back." Snowpaw nodded and ran off to Mouseheart's den. Rainpaw walked off into the forest, stopping when he heard a shriek. "A kit?" Rainpaw thought. Rainpaw's heart almost stopped as he heard Eaglefang's voice, and it sounded angry! Rainpaw ran over as fast as he could. He couldn't believe his eyes. He knew Eaglefang hated kitty-pets.. but to hurt a kit?! The kit noticed Rainpaw. The kits eyes widened with fear. "Eaglefang!" Rainpaw serious voice caught Eaglefang off guard. "I'm protecting our territory!" Eaglefang hissed, but he could find Eaglefang's gaze fall on the kit again,avoiding Rainpaw's serious voice and gaze, but he couldn't escape it. "It is a kit! Nothing more than a kit! If you think I am going to let you get away with hurting a kit, you should think otherwise!" Rainpaw's voice,yet again,shocked Eaglefang,but Eaglefang's eyes darkened. The kit immediately ran behind Rainpaw when he noticed Rainpaw was protecting him. "You should defend your clan, not some kitty-pet Rainpaw!" Rainpaw sternly looked at Eaglefang. "I know you hold a grudge against my mother! But," Rainpaw stopped for a second, then continued, "I never held a grudge against other cats for it! Nether less, the one who cared for me the most!" Rainpaw's eyes were to much for Eaglefang to even listen to the words.. The words stung. "You have to seriousness of your mother.. But the kindness of your father...That kindness will break you apart one day..But one things for sure... You have the spirit of your grandfather!" Rainpaw froze at the mention of his grandfather. He shook his head. "Eaglefang.. Your evilness will be the last of your self.." With that he turned, the kitty-pet kit following him into the camp, Rainpaw still furious. The cats stared at him in amazement as he walked into the leaders den. Eaglefang stalked into the camp, knowing his punishment. He was staring at the kitty-pet kit as it walked down the ledge and sat by a gray furred she-cat."Mouseheart.." Eaglefang knew who the she-cat was, and in his mind, he couldn't hold the words Rainpaw told him..It was driving him crazy. Rainpaw and Reedstar soon walked down the ledge and Rainpaw nodded to the kit, who followed him onto the meeting place with Reedstar. Reedstar spoke up, not caring to announce the clan to come over, they were already there, staring back and forth from Eaglefang,the kit, and most of all, the furious Rainpaw.. They knew what would happen.. But it was to serious to ignore. Reedstar stood straight. His gaze over his clan, he looked at them, serious.....

Chapter 1:

Rainkit walked around to the medicine cat den. "Mouseheart!" He yelled. Mouseheart looked over from laying down. "Welcome back Rainkit." She smiled at him."Lightstream said to say thank you for the berry's!" Rainkit padded around to Mouseheart. "Of course Rainkit.Have you heard?They say that Reedstar is going to make you an apprentice soon!" Mouseheart smiled. "I have!! I'm totally excited!" Rainkit quivered with excitement but calmed down very soon. Mouseheart smiled at Rainkit warmly. Eaglefang walked into the medicine cat den and looked at Rainkit, than at Mouseheart. "Reedstar needs to make Rainkit an apprentice, You can't steal him for today Mouseheart." Eaglefang looked at Mouseheart with a mean look in his eyes. Rainkit was shocked at Eaglefang's rudeness. "Very well Eaglefang.. But you should learn how to control your manners." Mouseheart looked Eaglefang in the eye, her blue eyes showing angry, and mixed feelings. "Rainkit, come with me and we'll go to the High rocks to make you an apprentice." Mouseheart said to Rainkit sweetly. Rainkit nodded and ran outside waiting at the entrance of the medicine cat den. Mouseheart nodded for him to go ahead, and he did. "Don't think I don't know what you did Mouseheart." Eaglefang shot Mouseheart a look. "I fully understand my fault.. But it has always shown my true feelings for Reedstar." Mouseheart shot a look back at Eaglefang, filled with anger, but also a little sadness. Eaglefang was taken aback. Before he said more, Mouseheart had padded out and was watching Rainkit and Reedstar get ready. When Reedstar jumped onto the high rock, Rainkit followed, behind him. Reedstar looked at Mouseheart and nodded his head, a small nod, barley you could see it.

"May all cats of SquirrelClan gather!" But, he didn't even have to say a word. The clan had already gathered and was getting excited. "I would like to make Rainkit an apprentice!"
Reedstar continued, "Rainkit! Do you promise to uphold the warrior code with your life?" Rainkit urgently nodded his head in excitement. "Then I call upon my ancestors to watch over this apprentice with guidance! Rainkit, you are now Rainpaw! You are patient,and a very quick learner, I want someone who is strong and worthy of such patients! Goldenfrost shall be your mentor!" The clan cheered, but Mouseheart just looked at Rainkit warmly and smiled. Goldenfrost nodded and touched noses with Rainpaw,Rainpaw's eyes were showing great happiness.

Prolouge:

"Will he be alright?" A black tom frantically asked. "Shadowclaw, please be patient. Your son will not join the ranks of StarClan today." A tortoiseshell she-cat was reassuring Shadowclaw."I hope your right Meadowheart..." Shadowclaw reluctantly back away. "I hope I'm right to.." Meadowheart thought. Lightstream looked up at Meadowheart from her nest. "How is he going to survive with-out eating?" Lightstream gave Meadowheart a worried look. Meadowheart ignored the worried mother. Meadowheart relaxed when Rainkit started to squirm around to his mother. "He should be fine now Lightstream, I'll go tell Shadowclaw." Meadowheart ran out. Shadowclaw burst in the den in an heart beat once Meadowheart came outside. "He's going to be fine Shadowclaw." Lightstream reassured him. "Thank goodness.." Shadowheart breathed a relaxed sigh. Mouseheart watched from the entrance. "You did good my apprentice." She said to Meadowheart. "Thank you." Meadowheart gave her mentor a worried look.No one had seen Lightstream give birth, except Mouseheart. But, Lightstream's milk wouldn't come.. Mouseheart had the scent of milk.. But faintly. It was to strange.
